The Wednesday Market:  We're Open - Order Now for Delivery After Christmas

Good morning.

Just a few more days til Christmas! While you are hustling and bustling, don’t forget to order from The Wednesday Market. Due to the holiday falling on Monday, we have opened the ordering cycle a day early, to give you plenty of time to place your order. Order pick up is the same as usual – Wednesday, between 3 and 6 p.m. Check the website for this week’s offerings. Here is the link:

Old99Farm Market:  old 99 farm, week of dec 18 2017

We’ve been having a respite from farming the last week or so, that’s why you havent’ heard from us. The greens grow very slowly this time of year due to short day length, cloudiness and of course temperatures, even in the greenhouses. But we’ve got row cover over the planted beds and fired up the wood stove in the Hobbit House most of last week. That kept temperatures inside the structure about 10 dC warmer than outside. Of course when it’s sunny outside it can easily be 25dC inside. Plants love that!

We can offer chard and kale greens this week, with parsley, cilantro and arugulas well. Storage carrots and onions still in supply. Lots of beef, chicken, lamb and pork. Eggs are getting scarce again.

We’ll be open tomorrow Friday inspite of the snow and next friday too. If you can pick up other days, let me know and I’ll get your orders ready.

This is a pickup reminder for those of you who ordered this week. Thank you for your order! You can pick up your order from 3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. today at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church at 925 Mitchell Street in Conway.

Usually our awesome volunteers have the market ready for customers to pick up before 4pm. If you are out and about and want to know if we are ready, just text me to see: 501-339-1039.

If something comes up that you cannot personally pick up your order today, please contact someone to pick up for you.

Remember to bring your EGGSHELLS, glass jars for recycling, egg cartons, and bags for ordered items. Reduce, reuse, recycle! See you this afternoon.

The Market will be closed next week. There will be no Market on December 27th. We will open back up for orders on Wednesday, December 27th, and those orders will be ready to be picked up on January 3rd, 2018!
